Did you know that the first Community Foundation in the country was founded by an estate planning
attorney exactly 100 years ago?

Since the founding of the nation’s first Community Foundation in Cleveland, the nonprofit model has
proliferated across the country, and today there are more than 700 Community Foundations in the U.S.
Each Community Foundation is as distinct as the region they serve, but what they all offer the same
personal, powerful giving vehicles for Estate Planning Attorneys, CPAs and their clients who seek to
preserve their charitable legacy well into the future.

Marian Kaanon is the CEO of Stanislaus Community Foundation, and will present an informative,
enlightening presentation on the many ways Stanislaus Community Foundation serves donors, nonprofits
and professional advisors. She’ll also share more about the record year of growth that Stanislaus
Community Foundation had in 2013, and what’s to come in the years ahead.
