Elena Martinez grew up in Mexico, City, she is a lawyer, graduated for Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (National University of Mexico), with more than 25 years of experience as a consultant and a trial attorney. She will speak on inheritance matters under Mexican law, probate process in Mexico, the role of the Notorio Publico, Trusts Administration in Mexico, and how you just might be able to use a US based Will for property in Mexico.
She has participated in various procedures of Private International Law, such as enforcement of judgments issued in Mexico, inheritance matters, restitution of children and divorce proceedings.
Since 2013, she was certified as a Foreign Legal Consultant by The State Bar of California, highlighting her participation in inheritance matters, child abduction, real estate purchase, property recovery, divorces and trusts.
Additionally, her practice has focused on the representation of individuals and Mexican and foreign companies for the purpose of resolving disputes in civil and commercial matters before local and Federal courts. She has advised and represented various Mexican and foreign clients in the preparation of agreements and contracts, as well as in the execution of civil, commercial, and family-type agreements. She has stood out for her participation as an advisor and strategist in bankruptcy procedures, representing companies in insolvency, as well as in credit recovery and contract compliance.
